Gargrave Christmas Collectables and Craft Fair – 10th December

Keeping it local to start! The brilliant Christmas Collectables and Craft Fair at Gargrave Village Hall will be back on 10th December. The stalls are all fully booked as well so there’ll be loads of things to choose from including Vintage, Collectables, Bric a Brac, Books, Gifts, Jewellery , Jigsaws and Crafts! To add to the festive vibe, there’ll also be the wonderful Craven Accordion group playing live music on the stage from 12 noon!
The event starts at 9:30am until 3:30pm, but the organisers have said most stalls will be fully set up by 9am so you can get ahead of the crowds! Early bird catches the worm as they say…!
Skipton Christmas Market – 10th December
Admission: FREE
Time: 10am
If it’s festive stalls, artisan producers and crafters, as well as the abundance of fantastic independent shop, then the Skipton Christmas Market is for you! It always promises to be a wholesome event, and one that the whole family can enjoy. If the weathers a bit on the chilly side, there’s also a whole host of food producers to keep your bellies full and the cold out! There’s mulled wine, boozy hot chocolate, mince pies, hot roast chestnuts, German bratwurst and much more! What could be better?
Robin Hood Christmas Panto – From 15th December
Admission: Adults £12.50 | Under 18s £7.50

Who doesn’t love a panto? There’s something about shouting ‘he’s behind you’ at the top of your voice that just gets those Christmas juices flowing! This year, it’s a twist on Robin Hood. The kids will love it, and the mums and dads too. It’s full if songs and laughter and a big old dose of silliness that will turn the most discerning scrooge into a Christmas-loving cuddly bear!
Trouble is brewing in Nottingham as the corrupt Sheriff is plundering the belongings of the residents, leaving Maid Marian in a state of uncertainty. Robin Hood is resolute in confronting the Sheriff alone, but the success of his mission is uncertain. Will Robin Hood manage to execute his plan flawlessly, or will he find himself in need of assistance?
Bull Busk Community Action Carol Singers – 21st December

Don’t deny it, we know you love to belt out a good old Christmas Carol. Here at The Masons Arms we have the amazingly talented Bull Busk Community Action Carol Singers joining us, to really get you in the Christmas spirit. And, talking of spirits, the drinks will of course be flowing as always here at The Masons! So, get warming up those vocal cords and join us.
Christmas Art Club – 23rd December
Admission: £7.50
Time: There will be two sessions 10am – 12pm & 2pm – 4pm.
Age: Art Club is aimed at young people aged 10-18yrs.
Calling all art fanatics! This one is for you! It’s the special winter edition of Art Club held at Skipton Town Hall! Accompanied by a festive soundtrack and delightful snacks, you’ll be crafting a variety of decorations using techniques such as paper folding, pom-pom making, and garland crafting. Everyone will leave with a lovely assortment of decorations!
This year, Art Club will be held on a Saturday due to the late school holiday. It’s an ideal chance to keep youngsters engaged while parents and caregivers make final preparations for winter celebrations!
Twixmas Afternoon Tea Dance – 27th December
Admission: £3 (Proceeds for Village Hall funds.)

Back to Gargrave now for the Twixmas Afternoon tea dance. It’s being held at Gargrave Village Hall in that weird old week between Christmas and New Year (when everyone loses track of what day it is!).
Cath and Richard will be hosting the tea dance creating a delightful gathering during the post-Christmas and pre-New Year period. The event will showcase beloved sequence dances, including the Mayfair Quickstep and Rumba One. Join them for an enjoyable time, dancing to tunes from movies, musicals, TV themes, and more!
